I think most people have been in a confrontational argument over the existence of God at some point in their lives, and maybe they felt insulted by it, or even maybe they were the ones feeling elated at having embarrassed the other person. Logical arguments for example, like the existence of a god, is a convenient idea to explain how things in the universe are and in turn, God must exist. Certainly not everyone uses logic like this to prove and disprove God, and then try to rub it in someone else's face, but perhaps many of us know a few people who still do.

Because of social, political, and scientific ramifications, it is nearly impossible to carry on a conversation these days with anyone about evolution and intelligent design. This problem stems mainly from ignorance. Creationists disavow science and cannot be excused.

Your article regarding Rainbow Alliance in the April 30, 2008 issue of the Guardian was very informative, but perhaps you should have gone directly to the source of all the complaints against the organization.
The Guardian interviewed only two of the organization's advisors, only two student members, and had perspectives from sixty percent of the executive board, who of course are going to defend their position on cancelling the organization's meetings.

With this year's election marking the first time in U.S. history when an African-American is in serious contention for the presidency, it comes as no surprise that the nature of race relations is being reexamined. What wasn't expected is the extent to which pure racism is influencing the nomination of the Democratic candidate.

I consider myself relatively lucky for this election, as I don't intensely despise the Republican nominee for President, John McCain. Save Ron Paul, had it been Romney, Huckabee(?), Guiliani, or any of the other fools that espoused their hypocritical slime during the Republican primaries, I would probably have turned on the apathy and tuned out the next seven months.

Earlier today I was reading the most recent issue of The Guardian when I came across another batch of letters to the editor.
Essentially they consisted of blatant bashing and insulting of the paper on the part of the writer's. Each time the paper is released it appears to have the same letters simply repeated over and over again, not only insulting the intelligence of the writers but the integrity of the paper as a whole.
