Bring out the winter clothes! Decreasing temperatures calls for a change of dress this season, and it's all about layering and accessories.

Textured tights bring drama to the ever-present tunic and are easy to slip on before class. Pair the ensemble with over-the-knee boots if you're feeling bold, or slide on some studded flats.

From the influential runway to everyday life, embellishments are big this season. With anything from sequins and chains to crystals and sparkles, one can add a touch of rocker glam with a statement necklace to dress up any outfit.

Don't feel like searching for a necklace? T-shirts already stitched with crystals can be found at places like JCrew. Loose-fitting cardigans with daring prints, like leopard or zebra, will also channel your inner fashionista.

Want something to transform from day to night? The boyfriend jacket is a new obsession of mine; wear it with skinny jeans and high heels, or a floaty short dress for a great silhouette. If you want to change the look of a jacket you already own, switch out the buttons from places like Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts, or add a vintage broach from a local thrift store.

Faux fur heavy coats and vests are also popular in cold weather. Affordable pieces can be purchased at both H&M and Forever 21.

Leather is still in style this season. Both leggings and jackets are a great way to look fabulous while keeping warm.

Lace is another fabric that gives a feminine but tough edge which is sure to catch attention.

Not a fan of wearing gloves? Keep those hands pretty with a dark plum shade for your nails that is sure to accent any look. Otherwise, a leather studded pair is a great way to go. A chic chained bag and red tinted lips should have you ready for the holiday season.
